Hear this version of “Twelve Days,” on Track 7 of the MP3 on, On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me: TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS (FOR THE ORCHESTRA) It might take me years to create a book and get a sing-along track put together, but until then, here are the words to help me start the process: This rendition included twelve days of different orchestra instruments and I thought what a terrific way to introduce kids to new instruments. While listening to my large collection of Christmas music with my i-Pod’s random play option on, it often happens that I’ll hear something for the first time or “new-again,” like the 1981 Boston Pops recording of “Twelve Days of Christmas,” conducted by John Williams. Twelve Days of Christmas for an Orchestra (a bell high up in a pear tree) Of course I cannot resist The Muppets (or John Denver), YouTube has TONS of videos for this song from choirs and soloists…but this one was my favorite, as sung by the Idlers ast a tavern somewhere:Ī fun article detailing the mathematics involved in totaling the number of gifts:Īn article with song history from Wikipedia:Ĭlick here to a “key” to the supposed “meaning” for each gift “symbol”:Ī Singable Picture Book Version of “The Twelve Days of Christmas,” This parody about the Twelve Days AFTER Christmas is funny, too: But he doesn’t abuse it (his voice or the song), which also points to his elegance and good taste. His voice is gorgeous, smooth, and elastic. I can’t imagine anyone singing this song better. I’m not sure he gets enough attention for his talent and skill. This performance is a testiment to Andy William’s vocal greatness. I LOVE this adaptation/arrangement of “Twelve Days of Christmas,” called “A Song and a Christmas Tree” as sung by Andy Williams (and a sleighful of friends): TWELVE DAYS OF Song Chord Formula for Sing Books with EmilyĬhords and Arrangement by Emily Gleichenhaus for Sing Books with Emilyġ2 DAYS OF SONG CHORD FORMULA BY ELEG FOR SBWE Sing any adaptation of this song and accompany yourself with ukulele using Sing Books with Emily’s TWELVE DAYS OF Song Chord Formula Song Sheet: Traditional Tune (“Twelve Days of Christmas”) Part of Sterling Publishing’s Twelve Days of Christmas in America Series Traditional Tune based on TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS The Twelve Days of Christmas: A Pinata for the Pinon Tree Traditional Tune (Sing to the tune of “ Twelve Days of Christmas“) The 12 Bugs of Christmas (A Pop-Up Christmas Counting Book) Traditional Tune (sing to the tune of Twelve Days of Christmas) Illustrated by Tim Wollweber and Sherri Lundberg Words Adapted by Steven Davison and Carolyn Gardner (Based on Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas) ![]() Traditional Words and Tune (sing to the tune of “The Thirteen Days of Christmas”) Traditional tune (Twelve Days of Christmas) (Sing to the tune of “ Twelve Days of Christmas”)Ī Pinata in a Pine Tree (A Latino Twelve Days of Christmas) (Sing to the tune of TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS) Traditional Words and Tune, Sing to the Tune of “ Twelve Days of Christmas”Ī Firefly in a Fir Tree, a Carol for Mice Sing to the Tune of TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS Plus, check almost any anthology of Christmas poems, stories and songs and you’ll find “The Twelve Days of Christmas” in there!ġ2 Days of Thanksgiving (Count the days till Thanksgiving!) I was doing it all by myself and made mistakes, or the phone rang, or someone came in the door! I made about 5 at one point thinking they were good when I realized I’d put on the wrong ornament for one and had to do them all over! I got in a lot of practice! To get the 12, I ended up making about 50 videos. For each one, I added that day’s ornament and sang that day’s lyrics along with ukulele Hazel. There’s a short video for each of the 12 days. It features the fun tree that my pal Cindy gave me for Christmas in 2018. #HappyHolidays #WinterSong #christmassongs #TwelveDaysOfChristmas #LittleGoldenBookġ2 Days of Christmas with Sing Books with Emily 2019, YouTube Playlist Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Etsy, WordPress, and YouTube ![]() THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS, an Illustrated Song A post shared by Emily Gleichenhaus Days of Christmas ![]()
